Welcome to Reception

For Reception, the school day starts at 8:55am and finishes at 3:25pm.

Mrs Christopher is responsible for leading the Early Years Foundation Stage at Lincoln Carlton Academy.

The class teacher in Robins class is called Mrs Christopher and her teaching assistant is called Mrs Richardson.

The class teacher in Blackbirds class is called Miss McCann and her teaching assistant is called Mrs Sheriff. 

PE Days

During the Spring term, Reception will have PE in the hall on a Monday morning. Earrings should be removed and long hair should be tied back.  

There will be an EYFS Read to Me Session on Tuesday 20th January 2026 from 3pm. Parents and carers are invited into school to come and share a book from our library with their children. 

The Reception and Year 1 Disco is taking place on Thursday 12th February 2026 from 3:30 - 4:45pm. Details on how to book your child's place will follow nearer the time. 

World Book Day will take place on Thursday 5th March 2026. Please come dressed as your favourite book character or wear your pyjamas or the day. 

Parent's evening takes place on Tuesday 10th and Thursday 12th March 2026. Details on how to book an appointment will be sent nearer the time. 

EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 Sports Afternoon will take place on Tuesday 19th May 2026 from 1:30pm until 3pm. 

The end of EYFS celebration event will take place in classrooms on Tuesday 30th June 2026 from 3pm. 

End of year school reports will be sent out to parents on Friday 10th July 2026.
