Welcome to Year 1

For Year 1, the school day starts at 8:55am and finishes at 3:25pm.

Mrs Evans is the class teacher in Hawthorn Class.

Mrs Wood and Mrs Clark are the class teachers in Birch Class.

PE Days

During Autumn 1 (3rd September until 24th October), Year 1 will have PE outside on a Tuesday afternoon and inside on a Friday morning. They should come to school dressed in their PE kit on these days please. Earrings should be removed and long hair should be tied back.

Individual and sibling school photographs - Tuesday 7th October 2025

The Reception and Year 1 Disco is taking place on Thursday 12th February 2026 from 3:30 - 4:45pm. Details on how to book your child's place will follow nearer the time. 

Parent's evening takes place on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th November 2025. Details on how to book an appointment will be sent nearer the time. 

The Phonics Screening Check takes place in week beginning 8th June 2026. There is a link to an information leaflet at the bottom of this page.
