Welcome to Year 2

For Year 2, the school day starts at 8:55am and finishes at 3:25pm.

Mrs Gallivan is the class teacher in Cathedral Class.

Miss Ridd is the class teacher in Castle Class.

PE Days

During the Spring term (January to Easter), Year 2 will have PE inside on a Thursday afternoon and outside on a Tuesday afternoon. They should come to school dressed in their PE kit on these days please. Earrings should be removed and long hair should be tied back. 

World Book Day takes place on Thursday 5th March 2026. Children are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character or wear their pyjamas for the day!

Parent's evening takes place on Tuesday 10th and Thursday 12th March 2026. Details on how to book an appointment will be sent nearer the time. 

The EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 Sports Afternoon will take place on Tuesday 19th May 2026 from 1:30pm until the end of the school day. 

The end of Year 2 celebration event will take place in classrooms on Thursday 25th June 2026 at 3pm.

End of year reports will be sent out to parents on Friday 10th July 2026.
